Great ideas. Another version of the ice cream is to wheel in a large insulated cooler with ice, bowls, spoons and the ice cream with your imprint on everything into the prospective company. Tell the receptionist it is a gift for (prospect's name) and be sure there is a card with your business card inside, then leave. You will likely hear from your prospect very quickly. I have to give Cliff Quicksell credit for this idea, he found it worked very well.

SEND FOOD. I used an idea I read about somewhere - & it works a treat. It's a Xmas cake for the client's organization. To nobody in particular; the company as a whole. Get it decorated specially with the companies logo &/or slogan & make sure you deliver it personally to your key contact. It goes into the tea room & really gets them aware of you ... & grateful!

Thanks for the great read. Mice to know other people out there are trying new tricks to re-connect. I am very tempted to try the happy birthday one. I am sure it would also get lot's of laughs for the staff around my office. Thanks for the suggestions!

Tom, interesting pieces of advice.

It really might get to a point that I'm going to have to start singing "Happy Birthday" on voicemails. Though, I do think that the biography with a deadline really is very ingenious.
